   When WhosOn tries to send outgoing emails, you may receive the error 'Software caused a connection abort' and the email is not sent.

This is normally caused by some other software on your system blocking the outbound SMTP connection. This is usually a firewall or Internet security product.

You will need to add the WhosOn Server (whoson40.exe) to the list of trusted applications or edit your firewall settings so that outbound SMTP traffic (port 25) is allowed.
