If you are one of our hosted customers and you have recently purchased the iPhone/iPad Application and you would like to know how to configure your phone/iPad to work with your hosted account, then here are the steps you need to know-

  • Once the application is installed on your iPhone/iPad go to the Settings of the phone itself and there should now be an entry for our WhosOn application.
  • Clicking on the WhosOn entry will then allow you to configure the phone to connect to your account using the details that you would generally use in the Windows client or Silverlight client (These details can be generated by our support staff or retrieved from your original Setup Email that was issued when the account was created).

  • The details you need to enter are like so:
Server - {your hosted server address not the address that begins gatewayX.whoson.com}
HTTPS - ON
Authentication String - PSLHOSTED
Username - {your username for the WhosOn account}
Password - {your password for the WhosOn Account}

This can be viewed in the below screen grab:

iPhone Settings

If you have any further questions then please contact our support team (support@parker-software.com).

To avoid conflicting with your WhosOn desktop client please append 'iPhone' or '(iPhone)' to your display name so that when using the iPhone, there are no issues when connecting due to the same display name being used.
