Hi there,
I need your support ASAP(my email2db doesn't run until now).
I have 2 problems right now.
1. I always get this error "Email2DBServer Overflow From MailServer.ProcessPending". I had tried to   change the database into built in database also get this error. I Change the recordNo into decimal is just the same. What should i do ? fyi : one day we process about 15.000 records to proceed,it should be better if your recordno become decimal.
2.We are using sql2008 database, but when i connect email2db using SQL2008 it always says "Provider cannot be found,it may not be installed properly & i should installed mdac 2.6 or higher". FYI : I am using dotnet framework 2.0 in the same server with my email2db.dotnetframework2.0 using mdac 2.8.So What wrong with this connection ?

Please help for No 1 first, it become "show stopper" in our business :(
Thanks,
Ronald
(sory for bad english :D )

Hi,

There must be too many pending files in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Parker Software\Email2DB\mail

This folder holds SMTP messages received by the built in mail server prior to email2db processing them. In Version 2 this is limited to 32000 pending messages. Version  3 has no limit.

Copy messages from here to some temp folder so there are less than 32000 messages. Then let Email2DB process them - then move some back until it has caught up.

This has nothing to do with the database - the Email2DB database has no limit on the messages (other than limits imposed by the database and/or operating system.

Note: For support issues like this you should contact the support desk directly (if your email2db support is active). The forum isn't designed for urgent responses.

Many Thanks
Steve

Hello Ronald,

Are you having trouble clearing up the back log or is Email2DB contstantly getting more files in this folder?
How many messages are you processing each day and how many emails are you sending out for each of these as it would be unsual for so many messages to be built up over one day.

If you do require urgent assistance it would be better to contact the support desk on support@parker-software.com

Hi Liam,
We are now processing about 100,000 messages every day ( we are using it as our blast engine).
And all of them are about sending email out :)
So, What should i do ?
Thanks for the support,
Ronald
ps :
I use this thread because on my mind maybe other people have a similiar problem

Hi,

Please note - Email2DB was never designed as a bulk email sender.

The limit of 32000 currently received messages cannot be changed in V2. The only solution is to increase the hardware that Email2DB runs on so that it can process pending messages faster. At some point you will receive messages faster than Email2Db can process them - in which case you would need to increase the processing power - or get another machine and run a 2nd copy of Email2DB to spread the load.

Version 3 doesn't have a limit - but the same thing will apply .. At some point you will reach the limit of what as single machine can keep up with.

In Version 3 we have a new 'Data Center' edition that enables multiple message processor servers to run concurrently against a single Email2DB server.

Is V3 already released ? If i want to use V3 , is there any additional cost ?

Hello Ronald,

Version 3 isn't yet released, although it is expected within the next week.
I am not sure of the pricing plan but I believe if you have valid support then you can upgrade your V2 to the equivalent V3 edition for no additional cost.

If you opt to go for the additional installation of Email2DB onto another machine this would cost you, as you would need to purchase an additional license for that installation. I believe these extra licenses can be sold a reduced cost depending on your use and need of it. You would however need to contact our sales team for further details on this. You can contact them on sales@parker-software.com
