I am preparing to update our live environment to version 3 from version 2. We are current on our maintenance and so will be generating a new serial number from our version 2 serial number. In the event something goes amiss, I need to be able to swiftly rollback to version 2.
If something did go wrong after installing version 3, would it be possible for me to simply uninstall version 3 and then reinstall version 2 and register it using the version 2 serial number? |

Yes - the V2 MetaData and MessageStore database are left in place.
You can run V3 in evaluation mode for 30 days before you need to generate a new serial. You can use this time to verify the V3 install and migration has gone ok. Steve

Ok. This brings up one other question only vaguely related question. Once I have successfully migrated my message store and settings and I am happy with the outcome, would it hurt anything to delete the databases called "Email2DB" and "Email2DB_MetaData"?
I would be using the default database names, hence there is a "Email2DBV3" and Email2DBV3_MetaData". |

This should be acceptable to do once you have confirmed that the system is successfully operating using your Version 3 configuration.
