To publish ThinkAutomation externally as a valid mail server, there are additional steps that need to be made outside of the ThinkAutomation software.

1. The ThinkAutomation mail server needs a static public IP address
2. Create a DNS A record entry within your domain that is unique for ThinkAutomation to use as a mail server (e.g. thinkautomation.domain.com) – What is an A record? http://help.dnsmadeeasy.com/managed-dns/dns-record-types/record/
3. Ensure that the DNS entry you have configured has an rDNS record (PTR record). This is typically set to a single IP by the ISP of the connection that the mail server is being configured on – What is a PTR record? - http://help.dnsmadeeasy.com/managed-dns/dns-record-types/ptr-record/
4. Create an MX record with the correct weight and configuration for the external setup of your mail server - What is an MX record? - http://help.dnsmadeeasy.com/managed-dns/dns-record-types/mx-record/
5. Ensure that TCP/IP access is possible from the world wide web to TCP 25
6. Ensure that ThinkAutomation's Greeting Text (Mail Server Options > General) starts with your DNS A record (e.g. "thinkautomation.domain.com ThinkAutomation Mail Server Version %BuildNumber% Ready.")
7. Ensure you see all ticks (excluding TLS support) from MXToolBox - http://mxtoolbox.com/diagnostic.aspx

Multiple Mail Server nodes can be configured with the ThinkAutomation Enterprise Edition licensing model. This will allow for load balancing or priority based sending of mail across many ThinkAutomation mail servers.
