We have a script which is run thru MacroRunThis(FIELDS_Value("Script")). The script goes out to connect to a SQL Server database and inserts a row to a table. Do we need to give any special permissions to make it happen?

I can't give any input on the actual scripting part myself, I don't have the knowledge on scripting to be fair.

Though if you have a trigger action to run a script and are hitting permissions issues you could try setting the ThinkAutomation Message Processor service service to run as a user account that has elevated permissions instead of the normal 'localsystem' user.

You should be able to do that using Windows Services.msc .
