Hi,

When I am using inbuilt function to get Message-ID, it's removing special characters.

Is there another way to get Message-ID?

Best Regards,
Damodar

If you want input on what you're trying to do please provide more information. Show what you've set and what the outcome of your settings is. Without doing so, there's not much anyone can say.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for you reply.

We are trying to save the message-id as it is unique per email. So that we can track down later if required.

The values from inbuilt function: 03b901d50ad3 4e677d40 eb3677c0 tripseeker com au 20190515140431
but the real values is: <03b901d50ad3$4e677d40$eb3677c0$@tripseeker.com.au>

Best Regards,
Damodar

Hi Damodar,

The message ID you are seeing is the ThinkAutomation-specific message ID used for tracking its messages.
If you want to access the original message-id header value from the message MIME as it came from the originating mail server, you can access this as a script object.

The value you are looking for can be found within 'ThinkAutomationMessage.HeaderValue("Message-ID")

In the below example, I set a variable called 'id' and then referenced it in the below script and set it to the value of ThinkAutomationMessage.HeaderValue("Message-ID") which allowed me to get the preserved message ID.

Thank you Nick and Jim,

..HeaderValue("Message-ID") is giving me the correct value.
